Architectural Intern
General Description:
Arco is seeking a qualified intern to assist our design team. Candidates are to have an excellent command and knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and other graphic programs. Candidates will assist with the development of technical drawings to be used in construction. Additionally, the hired candidate will support our marketing team by preparing brochures, newsletters, and other marketing materials. This is a full-time position. This is a paid internship with a rate of $15-$18/hour.
Specific Tasks and Duties
- Assist the design team with a wide range of projects on both speculative developments and private clients.
- Will provide general drafting assistance, such as Revit drafting for redlines, detailing, as-builts, as required.
- Assist in preparing drawing sets for permit applications and for contract documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate drawings with other Project Consultants.
- Assist in the filing (electronic and/or paper) of information.
- Assist in the production of project documentation for all project phases.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture with a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the field.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketch-Up.
- Required to work on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment, and work in cross-functional teams.
- Must possess strong and effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and organization development skills.
- 1+ year of project scheduling experience.
- Experience with Mavenlink is a plus.
